The majority of items tokenized on the DiviD Fractional Collectibles Marketplace are offered through licensed collectibles dealers with established retail businesses. Others will be items wholly owned by DiviD. In either case, every collectible item listed in the marketplace meets specific industry-standard requirements for each asset class.
For example: Rare coins must be graded by one of the known, reputable coin grading firms such as Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) or Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), etc., and be properly set in a bar-coded or RFID security-chipped coin container (commonly known as a “slab”) with both sides (obverse and reverse) of the coin visible.
Other classes of high-value collectibles have similar standards for verifying their authenticity and condition. Collectible postage stamps, comic books, game cards (Pokemon, Magic The Gathering, etc.) and sports cards must meet the same high-quality and authenticity standards in their respective collectibles categories.
Private sellers wishing to sell items on the platform must ship the items to be authenticated and securely held in custody by DiviD.
