Platform fees are charged for maintenance and administration of the DiviD Fractional Collectibles Marketplace as well as for secure asset storage and insurance costs. Platform fees are charged to:
Sellers
Dealer Partners selling fractional ownership interests in their collectibles are assessed platform fees when an item’s ownership tokens are sold in the marketplace. Fees are deducted from the proceeds paid to Dealer Partners. There are no up-front item listing fees.

Example: Item A is listed in the marketplace for $5000. After platform users buy 100% of the item’s ownership tokens, DiviD pays the seller for the item, minus a platform fee of 2.0% on $5000, totaling $100.00. Dealer receives the balance of $4900.
Buyers
Purchasers of collectible item ownership tokens are assessed a flat 1.5% platform fee at the time of purchase regardless of item’s listing value.
Redemption of Ownership Tokens
Ownership token holders are assessed platform fees when their ownership tokens are redeemed after re-sale of the item to a 3rd-party. Fees are based on the selling price of the item and are deducted before sales proceeds are distributed to holders.

Example: Continuing with the example above, Item A is re-sold for $8500. Abigale owns 10% of the item’s ownership tokens and will receive 10% of the sales proceeds ($850) less platform fees of 1.5% ($12.75). Thus, Abigale will receive $837.25 upon redemption of her ownership tokens through the platform.
Any token holder who acquires 100% of a physical collectible’s ownership tokens is required to redeem them for possession of the item. Fees are based on the item’s value (as above) at the time of the holder’s 100% acquisition, determined by the total price the holder paid for the item’s ownership tokens. Platform fees, along with shipping, and any storage and insurance fees accrued, must be paid by the redeeming token holder prior to release and shipment of the item.
